Seek Asylum South Africa is an independent assistance service. It is not the South African Department of Home Affairs, another government body, UNHCR or a law firm. It cannot issue a permit, visa, asylum receipt, appointment or refugee status.
No outcome guarantee
A preliminary review track is not a finding that you qualify for asylum, a visa, re-entry, an appeal or any other outcome. Official decisions rest with the authorities. Legal advice should come from a qualified professional.
Lawful, truthful assistance only
We do not assist illegal entry, evasion of border controls, false asylum claims, altered documents or impersonation of officials. Be truthful in any application or enquiry.
Fees
Any fee for our independent assessment or case preparation is separate from government and UNHCR services. Paying us cannot influence an official decision. UNHCR services are free.
